Austin iPhone Developer Group Meetup
February 4, 2020 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
They’ve created this meeting because both Austin and iOS are awesome. They meet monthly to network, present education content, showcase apps and work, discuss iOS development, and share tip and tricks, while helping each other through bugs.
Last month they showed you how to request data from a server, parse it into Swift structs and display it in an iOS app in thirty three lines of code. Thanks to the concise syntax of Swift and SwiftUI it’s now possible to do this without any libraries or Interface Builder files.
This month they’ll be rewriting the requesting data and parsing into Swift structs using Apple’s new Combine framework. Combine code is better because it protects you from bugs caused by shared mutable state and it does this without a lot of boiler plate code.
If you are an iOS developer, then feel free to join us. Please no sales offers, recruiters, etc.
